DMCA and Copyright

PressBBC respects intellectual property rights and expects the same of others. This page explains how to report material you believe infringes your copyright.

Reporting infringement

If you believe content on this site infringes a copyright you own or represent, send a written notice to legal@pressbbc.com including all of the following:

An identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed. A specific URL and description identifying the material on our site you believe is infringing, in enough detail for us to locate it. Your full name, postal address, telephone number and email address. A statement that you have a good faith belief that the disputed use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law. A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on their behalf. Your physical or electronic signature.

Incomplete notices may delay our response. We may forward the full notice, including your contact details, to the person who supplied the material.

Our response

We review every properly submitted notice. Where a claim appears valid, we remove or disable access to the material promptly and notify whoever supplied it. Repeat infringers lose the ability to contribute to this site.

Counter-notice

If your material was removed and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to the same address containing: your name, address, telephone number and email; identification of the removed material and where it appeared; a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification; your consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate court; and your signature.

Misuse

Submitting a knowingly false claim of infringement may expose you to liability for damages and costs. Please make sure the use you are reporting is not permitted under fair use, fair dealing or another exception before filing.
